Who is your hero? why?
My mom is definitely my hero. She had my siblings and me very young but always pushed herself to be better for us. She is first generation and grew up in the southside of Chicago. Her father died young and she helped her mom raise her siblings even though she wasn’t the oldest. She had my sister in high school as a junior and still managed to finish early. She started working and climbing the ladder to become a paralegal. She went back to school as an adult, working full time, and still managed to never miss a game or award ceremony. She graduated from college in 2010 and made us know that we could do absolutely anything we wanted in life. She is the most caring, loving, and out-of-the-box lady I know. I can’t express how amazing my mom is.
What do you like most about your job?
I love being able to work with such creative and passionate people. I love the community, I love watching out little ones get older and supporting families in ways that they’re asking for. I’m grateful to enjoy the work we do!
If you were stuck on a desert island – what are your must-have playlists/albums or movies/tv show series?
Must-have movies would definitely be the Harry Potter collection. It’s my favorite series and I could watch it over and over. I can’t live without music so as long as I have my Apple Music I would be fine! Or any album by Masego.
What makes you laugh the most?
Impractical Jokers probably makes me laugh the most. That show is just so funny to me!
What three things do you think of the most each day?
My family, sleep and food
