Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist Reflective Practice Facilitator III/Mentor Dr. Wendy Sun is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in early intervention and infant mental health.
She is among the first 52 California clinicians endorsed by the California Center for Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health, and holds their highest designation: Reflective Practice Mentor. Dr. Sun provides training at national and regional conferences on infant mental health diagnosis and treatment, has trained for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and several local Early Head Start programs, and has taught child psychology at the Alliant International University.
Dr. Sun holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and received both her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology – Alliant International University.
As a clinician, clinical supervisor, and trainer, Wendy is passionate about delivering culturally-sensitive and strength-based mental health services to support children in achieving their optimal potentials and to improve the quality of life for families. Her professional interests include multicultural issues related to early intervention, and family systems in under-resourced communities.
