Prior to WIN, Leslie Martinez’s work with children and their families included serving as an early intervention case manager for infants with developmental delays and disabilities, and a child mental health therapist. She also has experience serving as a suicide counselor and a mental health therapist for adults.
Through her experience, Leslie has gained deep insight into the numerous ways that barriers such as language, socioeconomic status, legal status, access to mental and medical health, and mental health history can impact a family’s abilities to reach their desired potential.
At WIN, Leslie provides dyadic therapy to young children and their caregivers experiencing a range of mental health concerns. She received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and received a master’s degree in Social Welfare at the University of California, Los Angeles.
