With a contagious smile and willingness to go above and beyond, Sandra Ramirez, WIN’s Intake & Quality Assurance Associate, is in this month’s Employee Spotlight. Learn more about her below!

Who is your hero? why?

My parents! They both immigrated from Mexico and went through the most challenging time when my older brother passed away from Leukemia. They have worked hard to create a stable, safe, and nurturing home environment despite all the challenges and barriers they had to endure. Their love for our family, positive attitude, and strength is admirable.

What do you like most about your job?

The collaboration and partnership that comes with empowering and educating families on the various resources our community has to offer. Hearing client success stories or seeing families at our Concrete Support drives makes me feel good knowing that families are receptive and appreciative of the services WIN offers.

What is your favorite memory from high school or college?

My favorite memories from college are the late study sessions I had with friends. Always fun, supportive, and productive.

If you were stuck on a desert island – what are your must-have playlists/albums or movies/tv show series?

Probably the show Friends. It helped me survive my pregnancy lol…

What makes you laugh the most?

Seeing my 3-year-old daughter make silly impressions. It’s the funniest/cutest thing to watch.
