Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement

Grounding Principles

WIN’s practices are guided by our commitment to promote equity and meet the needs of all people from a multitude of identities, perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. We recognize the outcome disparities within our society, especially those related to race, culture, health, and the many other factors that shape our identities. Furthermore, WIN values the unique intersection of identities that each community member holds. Guided by this understanding, our organization employs culturally and racially responsive practices to effectively serve diverse and historically under-resourced populations. WIN recognizes that to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive structure in our community, we must understand and value both our individual differences and our commonalities.

Values

As an organization, we hold true to our values of mutual respect, operating with integrity, working in collaboration, and upholding individual agency. We commit to embody relationship-based and strengths-based approaches and demonstrate cultural responsiveness and cultural awareness as a baseline for every interaction with each other and with the families and community we serve. We prioritize the ongoing learning and growth that are needed to sustain these values every day.

Commitment & Impact

WIN is committed to naming, addressing, dismantling, and transforming any harmful or outdated policies, structures or unchecked biases within our organization. We endeavor to create an environment of care and support for our community, families, staff, and partners that is equitable, diverse, and inclusive at every level.
